The mud bogs season went really well this season, with spectators coming out from all over.
"The whole season went really well. Spectators were good, competitors were good. It ended up working out really good this year," said Alaina Darling, deputy director for the mud bog events.
This year, they had a new group come out called Idiots With Cars at the Mega Cross Event. Darling said she hopes to bring it back next year with a series, but nothing is confirmed just yet.
The big event of the season was their mega cross event in July, which took place over three days. It was an all around off road type event, where they had mud racing, hill 'n hole, bounty hole and mega cross event going on, as well as the tug pad going.
"We have racers that come from as far as 100 Mile House B.C, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, so we've had quite a few from all over the place come."
Darling said next year they are hoping to implement the Idiots in Cars a little bit more, and another event like they did in August and October, where they had the side by sides.
The mud bogs also has a pretty strong junior program, which Darling said has grown so much over the last few years.
"We're up to about 14 consistent juniors, so 14 consistent racers at every event, so it's been really, really good," she said.
