Rimbey RCMP investigate fuel theft

From May 7 to 14, Rimbey RCMP responded to 52 calls for service

May 7, 2025 to May 14, 2025

During this time period, the Rimbey RCMP detachment responded to 52 calls for service.

These calls included 10 traffic violations, seven suspicious persons/vehicles, four mental health acts, four municipal bylaws, three well-being checks, three 911 acts, three thefts, two traffic collisions, two assist general public, two break and enters, one failure to comply with order, one offender management, one false alarm, one sexual related offence, one assistance to Canadian/Provincial agency, one fraud, one abandoned vehicle, one missing person, one item lost/found, one animal collision, one animal call, and one uttering threats. 

May 8 - Rimbey RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle. An individual was out walking and the same vehicle drove by four times, which caused the individual to believe they were being stalked. Members located the car who advised they were making deliveries and had the wrong address. The individual was informed.
 

May 12 - Rimbey RCMP received a report of theft of fuel. Two vehicles had holes drilled into their gas tanks and fuel stolen. This matter is still under investigation.

May 12 - RCMP received a report of fraud. An individual had unauthorized charges on their credit card. A new credit card was issued and then the individual noticed two more unauthorized charges on the new credit card. This matter is still under investigation.

May 13 - RCMP received a report of suspicious vehicles. An individual believed that the vehicles were circling the block of their residence and sent to intimidate them. RCMP members attended and found that the vehicles were unrelated to the person.

May 13 - RCMP received a report of a missing person. Rimbey RCMP made patrols, located the missing person, and returned them to their residence.

May 13 - RCMP received a report of loud, thumping, bass music. Members made patrols, however no loud music was heard.

Rimbey RCMP provides services to a large geographical area.

This area goes north to Township Road 450, west to North Saskatchewan River west of Highway 22, south to Township Road 410, and east to Range Road 10.

The jurisdiction encompasses the communities of Rimbey, Hoadley, Springdale, Nugent, Homeglen, Bluffton, Lavesta, Willesden Green, Leedale, Summer Village of Parkland Beach, Sandy Point, Meridian Beach, Sunnyside, Paulsen's Pasture, Raymond Shores, Lynn Acres, Birch Bay and Westlake Estates.
