Rimbey RCMP investigate unwanted individual showing up at residence.

May 21, 2025 to May 28, 2025

During this time period, the Rimbey RCMP detachment responded to 50 calls for service.

These calls included nine traffic violations, four mischief, three information files, three animal calls, three assist general public, three suspicious person/vehicle, two family law acts, two mental health acts, two theft, two fraud, two 911 acts, two break and enter, two municipal bylaw, two items lost/found, one fail to comply with probation order, one firearms act, one crime prevention, one missing person, one possession of property obtained by crime, one taking motor vehicle without consent, one trespass act, one assistance to Canadian/Provincial agency, and one flight from a peace officer.

May 21 - Rimbey RCMP received numerous reports of an individual’s location after being posted on the RCMP’s Most Wanted social media site. The individual turned themselves into the RCMP.

May 22 - RCMP received a report of an unwanted individual showing up at a residence. RCMP attended and warned the individual that they were not welcomed on the property anymore and could be charged.

May 23 -  RCMP received a request for patrols in an area where a trailer containing silent auction items for an upcoming event was stored. RCMP made continuous patrols of the location during the night, no suspicious activity was noted, and the trailer remained intact.

May 26 -  RCMP received a report of a truck that appeared abandoned, was partially blocking a rural road, and had been at that location for hours. Rimbey RCMP attended and issued several traffic violation tickets.

May 27 -  Rimbey RCMP received a report of a suspicious individual walking away from broken down vehicles. RCMP investigated and found one vehicle not operational, and numerous other traffic infractions. The truck was towed to a safe location and the trailer was returned to where it was earlier.

Rimbey RCMP provides policing services to a large geographical area.

This area goes north to Township Road 450, west to North Saskatchewan River west of Highway 22, south to Township Road 410 and east to Range Road 10.

This jurisdiction also encompasses the communities of Rimbey, Hoadley, Springdale, Nugent, Homeglen, Bluffton, Lavesta, Willesden Green, Leedale, Summer Village of Parkland Beach, Sandy Point, Meridian Beach, Sunnyside, Paulsen's Pasture, Raymond Shores, Lynn Acres, Birch Bay, and Westlake Estates.
