The Amazing Race is coming to Rimbey Sept. 7 for junior and senior high students from Grade 7 to 12.

The Community Inter Church Youth Event's race will start at 1 p.m. from the Church of the Nazarene.

There are four churches involved including the Church of the Nazarene, Rimbey New Life Fellowship, Rimbey Christian Reformed Church and Rimbey Alliance Church.

"It'll be an afternoon where we're going to run challenges and stuff around town," said Cassidy Thebeau, youth director at Church of the Nazarene.

"We have a variety of different challenges for them to take part in and they will be in teams."

The race will take place all across town with many challenges planned.

Some of the challenges include a three-legged race, puzzles, cup stacking and more.

"We have some really unique ones," said Thebeau.

Thebeau said they started this event, as they wanted to include more youth in the community.

"We're pretty excited about it. It was really awesome at our organization meeting to see everybody come together. Everyone's really excited."

The race will conclude with a supper at the Church of the Nazarene.
