Back by popular demand is the fourth annual Rimbey Merchants, Main Street & Area Twilight Holiday Shop Night hosted by the Rimbey Lions Club and local participating merchants. It will take place Dec. 5 from 5-8 p.m.
“This is a huge event for the local businesses,” explained Leah Bousfield, event coordinator for the Rimbey Lions Club, where the stores are able to have somewhat of a holiday open house and late night shopping.
The community on a regular basis for the most part is rolled up by 5 p.m., so it can be a great way for those who live in town, but work out of town, to shop and support local.
There are many events going on that night on Main Street, including at the Rimbey Community Library, the Rimbey Lions Club serving hot dogs and hot chocolate outside the town hall, Jax Auto Repair bringing out their portable fire pits, the Rimbey carollers and FCSS joining in for holiday gift wrapping. There will also be a visit to the local merchants from Santa and Mrs. Claus, providing a great way for everyone to get out and support the local stores and kick off the holiday shopping season.
