Team Smigorosky and Team Ledieu were the winning teams at the Rimbey Seniors Bonspiel this year, which ran Feb. 3-7.
Connie Jensen, who is the coordinator of the senior league, said it went really well from her point of view.
"We enjoyed some good fellowship, and we enjoyed good food. It was fun. Senior curlers in Rimbey always have lunch after they curl, so their was a lunch everyday."
They also treated themselves to a banquet, catered by Mad Catering, which provided them with roast beef.
"Friday we went straight out for nutrition. That was pie day," joked Jensen. "We had a really nice time. I can't say enough about the senior curlers in Rimbey who are just always so helpful with every task that needs to be done for something like that."
Jensen said their only wish is to have had more out of town teams come out to play.
The bonspiel had one game per day with two divisions.
Each division then played a round robin, with one winner per round robin based on their win loss record.
"We just had a really good time," said Jensen. "It's pretty wonderful to see that many people in that age category out there and active and having a good time."
