From the period of Aug. 28 to Sept. 4, RCMP officers responded to 41 calls for service.
On the roadways they responded to nine traffic violations, four traffic collisions, three suspicious persons or vehicles, two animal calls, one person driving while disqualified, one failure to stop or remain at an accident scene, one stolen vehicle and one animal collision.
In criminal-code matters, RCMP responded to three thefts, one assault, one drug possession, one fraud, one criminal harassment, one mischief call and one careless use of a firearm. They also responded to two court orders disobeyed and one extortion by libel.
In matters routine to policing, but which fall outside traffic or criminal-code, officers responded to one well-being check, one call relating to the Mental Health Act, one Family Law Act call, one assistance to the general public, one assistance to another agency, one lost-and-found item and one information file.
