Weekly Rimbey RCMP report

Officers responded to 105 calls between Dec. 18 to Jan. 8.

Officers with the Rimbey RCMP were busy responding to 105 calls for service between Dec. 18 and Jan. 8.

On the roadways officers responded to 12 traffic violations, five animal calls, four animal collisions, four abandoned vehicles, seven suspicious persons or vehicles, two traffic collisions, one failure to stop or remain at an accident scene and one traffic hazard.

In criminal-code matter officers responded to eight thefts, five break and enters, four mischief calls, three impaired drivers, two fraud-related calls, two calls relating to the Trespass Act and one assault.

Officers also responded to two uttering threats calls, two disturbances, one call of resisting/obstructing a peace officer, one crime prevention-related call, four calls relating to the 911 Act, three calls of those failing to comply with a court document and one call relating to the unsafe storage of a firearm.

For general policing matters not falling under traffic or criminal code, officers handled three calls assisting other agencies, seven lost and found items, four well-being checks, four assistance to the public calls, three mental-health related calls, three calls relating to the Family Law Act, two sudden deaths, two false alarms, one missing person and one call relating to another provincial/territorial statute.
