Wolf Creek Public Schools has announced the appointment of Adam Sia as the new principal of Bentley School.
"Sia brings over two decades of experience in education and school leadership, with a strong background in both teaching and administration," according to a release from Wolf Creek Public Schools.
Most recently, Sia served as assistant principal at École Lacombe Junior High School, where he became known for his student-centred approach and collaborative leadership style.
Before joining Wolf Creek, Sia served with Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCSD) from 2001 to 2023.
During that time, he taught Grades 6–9 math and science, and held multiple assistant principal positions at St. Dominic Catholic High School, St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School, St. Patrick’s Community School, and St. Gabriel’s Learning Centre.
“Adam brings with him a deep commitment to student learning and a strong background in leading diverse school communities,” said Sonja Dykslag, associate superintendent of people services.
“His leadership experience, vision for inclusive education, and ability to build relationships will be a great asset to Bentley School.”
Sia holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master of Education in Leadership from City University in Seattle.
“I am honoured and excited to join the Bentley School community,” said Sia.
“I look forward to working alongside the dedicated staff, students, and families to build on the great work already happening and to continue fostering a school culture where every learner feels supported, valued, and inspired.”
