Blackfalds RCMP have made a second arrest in relation to the Nov. 11 robbery at the 7-11 in Blackfalds.
Two unidentified people in Scream masks entered the store, threatened the staff and discharged a shotgun into the ceiling. The suspects left after taking cash from the till, according to a release.
On Jan. 8, 2025, Blackfalds RCMP General Investigations Section (GIS) with the assistance of Sylvan Lake GIS and Blackfalds General Duty officers, located and arrested 21-year-old Red Deer resident Quinlan Louis Bradford.
Police then executed a second search warrant locating additional items allegedly used in the robbery including masks and an airsoft handgun.
Quinlan Louis Bradford has been charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm;
- Disguise with intent;
- Pointing a firearm;
- Discharge a firearm with intent;
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence.
Bradford was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Jan. 9, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
RCMP previously arrested Red Deer resident Jackson Mackenzie Cann, 19 with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, discharge of a firearm with intent
and six firearms offences.
RCMP are not looking for any additional suspect in this investigation.
“This was an extremely effective investigation after a very brazen armed robbery,” said RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Troy Savinkoff in a press release.
“Alberta RCMP units from Blackfalds, Innisfail, Sylvan Lake, and Red Deer contributed to this successful operation.”
