A 31-year-old from Penhold is facing a charge of manslaughter after a hit and run on June 16.
Police say they receieved reports of the hit and run around 11:39 p.m. on June 16, in a parking lot off Highway 2A in Blackfalds.
Emergency workers tended to the victim, who was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Preston Arndt. The suspect left the scene and was later arrested in Red Deer after another motor vehicle collision.
As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged the 31-year-old Penhold resident with manslaughter.
