Dear Editor;

Re: “Bentley garden receives national recognition as one of Canada’s top 10”

Thank you for the excellent article regarding my recent winning of the David Suzuki 100 per cent pesticide-free garden award. I would like to add that the terms of the contest required the entries to not only pesticide free but also herbicide, fungicide or any other “cide” free as well.

For anyone who is interested in trying their hand at chemical-free gardening but is unsure of how to go about it, the David Suzuki Foundation’s Nature Challenge online website is a great resource. Along with tips for the organic minded gardener such as the, Queen of Green online articles and video’s, the site is filled with all sorts of ideas and alternatives for those interested in creating a greener future. The website address is: http://www.davidsuzuki.org/NatureChallenge
