Wizard Lake residents offers poem and condolences to family and community

Dear Editor;

It is with great sadness that I heard on the news of the bus accident and tragic death of a Rimbey student, Jennifer Dawn Noble. Although I do not know her or her family, my heart goes out to them and to all her friends who will dearly miss her. It is not fair when a class has to do a memorial to a classmate at their graduation, instead of celebrating this special time with them. I too grew up in a small community (Bentley) and know how a young one’s passing affects everyone. A few years ago a tragic accident near Leduc took two young lives, who were high school friends of my children.

Last fall, our nephew was killed in a car accident in B.C. and I wrote a poem in his memory. I have reworded my poem a little, and would like to share it with your readers, friends and family of Jennifer, with my heartfelt sentiments. It is not easy to lose a loved one, but maybe what I have written in my poem will help to ease the sorrow in your hearts.

Sincerely,

Laura Reichert
