57-year-old woman dies in single vehicle collision near Rimbey

A 57-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident near Rimbey on March 10. 

Police responded to a single-vehicle collision at 5:20 a.m. on March 10, at Range Road 33 and Township Road 430, bout 12 kilometres northwest of Rimbey. 

RCMP believe the driver and lone occupant of a Black Chevrolet Avalanche was travelling southbound on Range Road 33 and did not stop at the T-intersection. The vehicle then struck a grove of trees and a cable box. 
 
The Rimbey RCMP remained on scene for several hours to conduct their investigation. The circumstances of the collision are still under investigation, but the RCMP are now clear from the scene.
