My name is Justin Krakowka and I have been a resident of Ponoka County for eight years.
Currently, I own a small custom livestock business with my wife, as well as work on two dairy farms.
I decided to run for Ponoka County council because I was looking for a way to give back to the community that I have enjoyed living in for so long.
I am looking to bring a positive impact to the future of the county and want to make sure the residents’ voices will be heard among the council. I believe I can bring forward new ideas as well as a new perspective on current operations.
Speaking with residents in my division, there are no current pressing issues. Things being discussed are road conditions and how to integrate new acreages being built in the community.
I hope to have your vote Oct. 18.
Editor’s note: Incumbent Paul McLauchlin was re-elected by acclamation in Division 4, which includes Rimbey and Bluffton. Division 1 was also elected by acclaimed, with Bryce Liddle being re-elected.
