On May 8, 2022, for the first time in three years the Rimbey Interclub, Winfield and Bluffton 4-H Clubs held their annual club show and sale.
Club President Danny Skeels says that the club members, “were very excited.”
He says that they have been looking forward all year to being able to do the show and sale in person again and are already getting on track for next year.
Skeels says doing the show again after the long break due to COVID-19 was needed and very well received in the community and the turnout was great.
At the show the Grand Champion steer belonged to Colt Crosier with the Bluffton 4-H Club. The steer sold for $5.95 per pound to Buyer-Benchmark Commodities.
The Reserve Grand Champion steer from Garren Skeels with the Bluffton 4-H Club sold to Buyer- G&T Custom Farming for $5.50 per pound.
Other show winners included:
• Grand Champion Heifer- Jordyn Millar, Bluffton 4-H Club;
• Reserve Grand Champion Heifer- Sierra Brand, Rimbey 4-H Club;
• Grand Champion Cow/Calf- Jenna Simpson, Rimbey 4-H Club;
• And Reserve Grand Champion Cow/Calf- Jordyn Valstar, Rimbey 4-H Club.
