In the last two weeks Rimbey RCMP responded to 94 calls for service.

In the last two weeks Rimbey RCMP responded to 94 calls for service. These files include, but are not limited to: five mental health related calls, two impaired operation of a motor vehicle investigations, four mischief complaints, one person reported missing, three break and enters reported, and five complaints of uttering threats.

On July 22, 2021 at 5:40 a.m. officers were dispatched to found boat in a field. Witnesses reported seeing a white van with no lights on, pulling a boat, driving at a high rate of speed, and the vehicle failed to stop at a rural intersection. Officers attended and recovered the boat which was reported stolen from Spruce Grove on July 17 2021.

A white 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was reported stolen from 57th Avenue in Rimbey during the night on July 14. The truck was later recovered in Ponoka, unfortunately with extensive damage to the driver’s side. One male has been charged in relation to the possession of the stolen tuck in Ponoka.

Sometime during the night on July 26 a 2004 black Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from a driveway on 53rd Street in Rimbey. The truck had a black topper and front bumper hitch on it at the time of the theft. The Silverado has not yet been recovered.

Another Chevrolet Silverado, a white 2005 model, was stolen in a break and enter at a local business on July 27, 2021 at approximately 3:30 a.m. The thieves gained access to the auto mechanic’s shop yard by cutting the fence and attempted to steal a boat as well before fleeing the scene in the stolen truck. This truck also has not yet been recovered.
