Rimbey RCMP Report

On April 11 a complaint was made to the Rimbey RCMP that a snowmobile had been stolen. This had occurred in the Ponoka County area. The snowmobile had been taken from an access road to the lake. The Snowmobile has not yet been recovered.

The following day on April 12 Rimbey RCMP members responded to a break and enter of a residence. This occurred in the Ponoka County area. The suspects in the break and enter were located, arrested and charged. This matter is still under investigation.

Later that day Rimbey RCMP received a complaint that there was a suspicious person and vehicle at their residence. This occurred in the Ponoka County area. When the Rimbey RCMP arrived at the residence, the individual had already left. Rimbey RCMP made extensive patrols in the area. No vehicle fitting the description was located. The complainant was updated.

On April 13 Rimbey RCMP responded to a complaint of a group of youth that were pushing over garbage cans. Rimbey RCMP attended the residence and made extensive patrols. No persons were located fitting the description that was given. The complainant was updated.

The following day on April 14 a complaint was received that there was a group of youth were at the park in the early morning hours. The complainant was worried that they be vandals. Rimbey RCMP attended the area and located the group of youth. No crime was committed and the complainant was updated.

On April 15 Rimbey RCMP received a 911 call of a theft of a vehicle in the Rimbey area. The vehicle was parked in a business parking lot and was stolen throughout the night. Over $20,000 in contents was stolen with the vehicle. The vehicle and its contents have not been recovered.
