The Third Annual Rimbey Twilight Holiday Shop is once again back by popular demand.
The event will take place Thursday, Dec. 7 from approx. 5 to 8 p.m. weather pending.
Hosted by the Rimbey Review, this is an event for everyone to get out and support the local merchants, visit and kick off the holiday shopping season.
Rimbey Lions Club will be hosting Hot Chocolate & Hot Dogs at the town office, Jaxx Auto Repair and Eckville Machine and Welding will be out with heir portable fire pits and FCSS will be on location at the Rimbey Review office with hot popcorn and wrapping gifts alongside donations to the food bank. Everyone really comes together for this event. Horse drawn carriages and carolers have been known to make cameo appearances should weather be on their side.
There may even be some new features out for the night, which will be a fun surprise.
The Rimbey Review again this year will be hosting the 12 days of Christmas, where names can be submitted for the holiday shop night in draw boxes, and throughout the holiday weeks prior to Christmas random names are drawn for a free holiday gift donated via local merchants off the Rimbey Review tree.
Everything to make all the holiday season that more special. The first year the weather was beautiful, and the event attracted over 250 people, and despite the bitter cold last year, the event still was a huge success. The merchants that participate look forward to seeing the late-night customers that work out of town or don’t normally get the opportunity to shop late locally.
Events will be going on at the library as well that night to add to the holiday downtown buzz.
And of course, Rimbey is on the map for a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
