Alder Flats 4-H Multi Club Report

4-H kids visited aerial park in Edmonton

Alder Flats 4-H Multi Club held their Achievement day on May 26, 2019.

We started that day at the Snow Valley Aerial Park in Edmonton which was funded through a FCC grant we received of $500 and we were able to fundraise for the rest of the cost doing a bottle drive last fall. Thank you FCC for the grant. The Aerial Park is made up of four levels of rope obstacle challenges right from beginner to advanced. It was a lot of fun and we are talking about doing it again next 4-H season.

We ended the day with our potluck supper and awards at the Winfield Hall. Goldie’s Pizza in Drayton Valley was kind enough to donate pizzas for our meal and we thank them for that. We would like to congratulate all the 4H members on their completion of their 4-H records books.

Receiving 1st place for the Outdoor Project are Emily Pietsch for Seniors, Eric Pietsch for Intermediate, Kiera Grover for Juniors also receiving 1st place is Jordan Hopfe for Light Horse Project and Jay Hopfe for the Pheasant Project.

Would like to send out a special Thanks to the Winfield Ag Society for allowing us to hold our monthly meeting at the hall for free and any other events we hold. Thank you for the grants supplied by Wetaskiwin Rec Board, FCSS and UFA this 4H year.

It was a great 4-H year and reminder “Learn to do by doing.”
