Robbers demand VLT and bar money

Rimbey RCMP are still on the lookout for two masked men who walked into the tavern of the Grand Hotel at around 1 p.m. on Sun., May 28, one of whom was carrying what appeared to be a firearm, demanding money.

“They demanded all the VLT and bar money from both tills,” said Sgt. Kurtis Pillipow with the Rimbey RCMP. “The bartender comlied with their request and the suspects fled on foot southbound from the bar.”

Pillipow said there were no physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
