As part of Canada Day celebrations, held last Tuesday, July 1 at Pas-Ka-Poo Park and later at the Rimbey Soccer Fields, hundreds of residents rose as one and reaffirmed their allegiance to our country during a brief ceremony. In addition to the reaffirmation, the day was full of activities for young and old and culminated with a fabulous fireworks display later that evening. In the insets, Odin Obray of Rimbey (left) showed off his true Canadian pride with red and white Maple Leaf face-paint job while on the right, Leah Evans, also of Rimbey, was in the process of having her face painted by artist Angela Stephenson – better known as Rosie Posie.
