Lacombe’s Gord Bamford is set to bring his new tour to central Alberta.

The legendary country star will return to the stage this fall with his latest tour, which will start on Sept. 25 in Camrose, at the Camrose Regional Exhibition grounds.

“I am excited to get back on the road with my band. I grew up in a small town, so it’s only natural for me to go back to the place where it all started,” said Bamford.

“So many communities and organizations were affected hard by COVID. I am proud of the hard work put in by the staff and volunteers of my own Gord Bamford Charitable Foundation to support communities.

“We continue to support, so that many great people and fans who have helped build my brand over the years can benefit. I cannot wait to partner with you all and celebrate, with a return to live shows and bring people back together to enjoy the power of music.”

The first round of dates will cover Alberta and Saskatchewan through the fall with award-winning country artist, Duane Steele. Another round of tour stops in December and January will be announced soon.

The fall tour includes stops in Rimbey on Oct. 30 and Provost on Nov. 6.

The tour follows the success of Bamford’s recent hit single, Heaven on Dirt from his 10th studio album Diamonds in a Whiskey Glass. Heaven on Dirt has generated over two million global streams and the single was the most added song at Canadian Country radio upon its release.
