The Hell on Hooves Bullarama held at the Rimbey Agrim Centre Friday provided lots of exciting entertainment.

“It went well,” said Curtis Sawyer, owner of Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp. from the Lacombe area, who spearheaded the event. “The seats were full.”

Cody Coverchuk from Meadow Lake, Sask. won the competition with 87 points. A total of 30 professional bullriders participated.

“They came from all over,” said Sawyer.

Sawyer said the sponsors were receptive to helping out with the Bullarama as the money would be donated to a local organization.

“I was very impressed with how they stood behind us for the event.”

He said he is pleased to donate to a worthwhile cause.

“It is quite a bit of money and it will all stay in town,” he said.

Sawyer is planning to organize another bullarama next year.

“We’ve booked it for next year,” he said. “We are open to suggestions as to what charity to support at that time,” he added.
