A group of children who are members of Crestomere 4-H multi club got to enjoy a day on Gull Lake recently.
Under the guidance of chaperones and volunteers the youngsters experienced ice fishing and, from the looks of the picture, also enjoyed some success.
Ice fishing is a popular sport on Gull Lake and residents and visitors alike are able to enjoy the sport during the long winter months.
The Crestomere area is located between Ponoka and Rimbey and many of the children who take part in the 4-H Club live in the surrounding area.
With the milder temperatures ice fishing may appeal to more people in the area, but when temperatures hover to around minus 40 degrees, it certainly loses some of its appeal.
