Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 36 Rimbey presented Nicholos Hanna, Julia Holtkamp and Joelle Doll with their certificates and cheques for their placing at District Level in the annual Poster and Literary competition put on by the Royal Canadian Legion.

These students’ first place literary pieces were three of the 10 entries that Branch No. 36 took to the District 4 judging in January. There were 152 first-place entries, all from 20 different branches submitted to be judged over the four categories with four age groups in the two poster categories and three age groups in the two literary categories.

District 4 then submitted 14 first-place winners to Alberta Northwest Territories (ABNWT) Command in Calgary where they were judged with winners going on to be judged at the National Level.

Rimbey Branch is proud to have so many student participating from all four of the local schools and are looking forward to reading and viewing the entries that will be coming to us again in December for the 2022 competition.
