Great music, hanging out with friends and having a super, fantastic, awesome time is what the rock ‘n roll/country/punk rock band Puttin’ on the Foil is all about.

The band, made up of three talented musicians, makes no secret that they love music and they love to party, and, maybe not even in that order.

One thing is for sure, anyone who listens to their music needs to be ready to let their hair down, settle in for a few cold beverages and be prepared to have a very good time.

Puttin’ on the Foil was formed about six years ago by bass guitarist and vocalist Kevin Rowland from Okotoks, AB. Other band members are Tim Restoule (guitar and vocal) and Jordan Stubbs (drummer).

Since their inception, the band has played all over the western provinces including British Columbia and Saskatchewan usually performing about 150+ shows a year. Their audiences vary and Rowland is quick to point out they are a diverse band who is ready for anything.

The title of their first CD ‘Sing-Along-Drinkin-Songs’ pretty much speaks for itself.

“It’s fun,” says Rowland. “We’re a party band and we try to get people to have fun.”

Their next album, ‘Fired Up Ready to Roll’ features ten songs of hillbilly infused punk rock that begs the listener to sing and drink along with them.

With a name inspired by the Hanson Brothers from the movie Slapshot, Puttin’ On The Foil is a band that promises to provide lots of laughs, plenty of great entertainment and a crowded dance floor.

Puttin’ On The Foil will be out to entertain Sat., Feb 3 at 9 p.m. in the Grand Hotel, Rimbey.
