The Wetaskiwin Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Branch is asking for the public’s help regarding the illegal harvest of a moose inWetaskiwin County.
The incident occurred west of Battle Lake in the area of Range Road 24 and Highway 13, sometime between Dec. 28 and 31. It is believed that a moose was shot on the property, and a vehicle was then used to access the property to retrieve the animal, becoming stuck several times only a short distance from Highway 13.
If anyone observed any suspicious activity in the area of Hwy. 13 and Range Road 24 between December 28 and 31, or have any other information regarding this incident please contact the Wetaskiwin Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Branch, or the Report-A-Poacher number at 1-800-642-3800.
