Murder charges laid in incident near Rimbey

UPDATE

Rimbey, Alta – RCMP advise that Patrick William Freeman (28) was arrested in relation to the homicide of Patrick Alexander Freeman and remains in police custody.

On June 24, 2019 at approximately 4 p.m., Rimbey RCMP responded to a complaint in Lacombe County. Upon arrival, RCMP located Patrick Alexander Freeman with significant injuries. Freeman was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Twenty-eight year old Patrick William Freeman of Sylvan Lake has been arrested and charged for first degree murder of his father. Freeman has been remanded and appeared at Red Deer Provincial Court on Wednesday, June 26.

Sgt. Kurtis Pillipow from Rimbey RCMP said he was not in a position to comment on the incident.
