Rimbey 4-H is up and running for another year.

Club reporters, Emily and Aevyn Giesbrecht say that the group has quite a few new members. This year there are 31 members with beef projects and four cleavers.

The club’s first meeting was Oct. 8, elections were also held that night and results have been made final.

Marlee Jaffray was elected president, with Chase Hofmann serving as vice president. Sierra Brand will be the secretary and Jasmyne Peter will be treasurer. Kylie VanTienhoven and Janelle Simpson will serve as club historians, Erin Simpson was elected parliamentarian and Wacey Smith and Marlee Jaffray will serve on the District Council. Jordyn Valstar, Sierra Brand and Harley Grab will act as social media coordinators.

On Oct. 17, they held their club’s weigh-in at Vold, Jones, Vold Auctions and club reporters say that the calves all looked great and some calves are halter broke already and that they are really excited for this year as will have a really nice group of calves to sell in May.

The club will be wrapping up the month of October with a tire recycling on Oct. 30th.

Club reporters say it helps the club earn money to put towards activities and donate back to the community.
