PasKaPoo Park will be a happening place on Aug. 19 during Rockin’ Rimbey.

The pancake breakfast will be the first order of events, which will begin at 8 a.m. and run till 11:30 a.m.

They will also have the Park ‘n in the Park Show ‘n Shine registration beginning at 9 a.m. and judging at 2:00 p.m.

“There’s going to be music and just general Show ‘n Shine shenanigans,” said Cheryl Jones, administrator with the museum.

The museum’s kitchen will be serving lunch with burgers, hot dogs and fries beginning at noon.

“We have a 50/50 raffle that we’ve been doing a fundraiser for the museum this year, and the draw for that is on Show & Shine day and that’s at 2:30 p.m.,” said Jones.

In the past, she said they had parking in the park for the Show ‘n Shine for many years, but the Lions Club took that over when they started Rockin’ Rimbey and moved it to the community centre for a couple of years, but then last year they approached them to bring it back to the museum.

Spectators are free to attend the event, but registration is $10 to be in the Show ‘n Shine. Food is also a separate cost.

The truck museum will also be open during this time, along with a couple of the other museum buildings depending on the number of volunteers.

“It’s our last fundraiser of the year, so hopefully the weather cooperates and it’s a wonderful day and weekend for the whole town.”
