Ponoka RCMP arrest male from Rimbey

Ponoka RCMP briefs from March 30 to April 6

On April 4, 2020, the Ponoka RCMP witnessed a Dodge truck with the driver’s side headlight out driving northbound on 67 St. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver had provided false information to the police and was arrested for obstruction.

Upon investigation it was found that the driver had a suspended driver’s license. The vehicle was towed and the driver, a 41 year old male from Rimbey, was charged with obstructing police and driving while unauthorized.

If you provide information to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property or the seizure of illicit drugs, you could be eligible for a cash award.”
