Kaylee Shantz is an ambitious 17-year-old with high aspirations. Her passion for horses began at a very young age and has since progressed into a lifestyle. She lives on a family farm just outside of Rimbey where she trains for team penning, cattle cutting and reigning events. She is also experienced in English show jumping and travels around Alberta to compete. Upon completion of her senior year, she will be attending Red Deer College for a Bachelor of Science Degree, to begin the journey of becoming a psychiatrist. Kaylee is very excited to be involved in the Rimbey Rodeo family, and looks forward to becoming more active in the community. Kaylee is sponsored by Stouts Trucking.

Jamie Davies is a 16-year-old who lives in the Town of Blackfalds. She attends Grade 11 at Lacombe Composite High School. This year Jamie will compete in barrel racing with the Central Alberta Rodeo Association. She is also a competitive figure skater with the Blackfalds Skate Club and volunteers her time to help with the Preschool and Canskate programs. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activites such as camping with her parents and sister, and hunting and fishing with her father. Jamie looks forward to representing her home town throughout the rodeo queen competition. She is also looking forward to representing the Town of Rimbey, hometown to her great grandparents and grandfather. Jamie is sponsored Holly’s Greenhouse.

Alison Walker is an 18-year-old girl, born and raised in Rimbey. Alison is just completing her final year in high school at the Rimbey Jr/Sr High school, and plans to attend Red Deer College to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree and advance to studies in Dental Hygiene. Alison has been riding for 13 years. From the moment Alison first sat on a horse when she was five, no one could keep her off. She first joined 4-H when she was twelve years old, and rode many horses throughout her years in the club. She received several awards including sportsmanship and horsemanship. Although Alison isn’t an active member in the 4-H club this year, she still volunteers her time and loves to mentor the youth in the club. She is excited to join the rodeo community, and take part in the rimbey royalty competition in hopes to influence as many youth as she can! Alison is sponsored by A & W. Photo submitted
