Rimbey Christian School recently welcomed two new teachers, Austin Bueckert and Joshua Reimer.
Growing up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Bueckert graduated with a Bachelor of Education in April and is excited to be entering his first year of full-time teaching at Rimbey Christian School. After graduating high school, he attended Millar College of the Bible, where he met his wife Amy.
They’ve been married for five years and have two baby girls. In his free time, Austin liked to play basically any sport, with his favourites being basketball and volleyball or a game of chess.
“I have a strong desire to see young kids grow in every aspect of their lives and wanted to thank you for allowing me to spend this time with your kids. I know that being a teacher comes with a lot of responsibilities and that is something I do not take lightly,” he said.
Reimer also grew up in the Saskatoon area for the majority of his life. Five years ago he married his wife, whom he met during his four years of study at Millar College of the Bible. They also have two little girls and are happily residing in Red Deer. Over the past year, he finished his teaching degree at Red Deer Polytechnic and taught for close to half a year at Koinonia Christian School in Red Deer.
“I love to be active by playing any kind of sport, and I am very passionate about serving the Lord in my teaching career. I am very excited to meet the students and their families and grow in my journey alongside them this year,” said Reimer.
