Rimbey’s New Year’s baby arrived a few days after Jan. 1.

Greyson Zak Goetz, a dark haired little boy, was born on Jan. 6 at 5:06 a.m. to Ben and Kathryn Goetz, who live in the Bluffton area. He weighed six pounds, 11 ounces, arriving four days before his due date.

“We went in the night before at around 6,” said his mom, Kathryn. “He was actually due Jan. 10.”

Ben and Kathryn had opted not to find out if they were having a boy or a girl.

“We decided to keep it a surprise,” said Kathryn.

However, they are both pleased to learn they have a baby boy.

“I was having trouble finding a girl’s name,” said Kathryn and Ben nodded his head affirmatively when asked if he had wanted a boy.

Greyson is a baby brother to two-year-old Rosalynn.
