The Rimbey RCMP detachment has seen their call volume remain steady, though down from the highs of the summer.

Between Sept. 1 and 7,officers from the Rimbey detachment responded to 53 calls for service.

The biggest portion of the calls during the week were from the roads.

Officers responded to 11 collisions, with 10 involving vehicle versus animals. One traffic citation was issued during the week, along with two reports of suspicious vehicles and one complaint under the impaired driving category.

In criminal matters, Officers responded to two assault complaints, three mischief complaints, two break-and-enter complaints, two thefts, three charges of possession of stolen property and one complaint under the trespass act.

Non-criminally, RCMP officers assisted the general public once, dealt with lost and found items, conducted a well-being check and one mental health response call.
