Rimbey RCMP respond to 56 calls for service

Files include: 2 assault investigations, 3 vehicles thefts, 2 B&Es and 2 missing persons reports

In the last week, Rimbey RCMP responded to 56 calls for service. These files include, but are not limited to: two theft of mail complaints, two assault investigations, three thefts of vehicles, two break and enters, six other theft related occurrences, and two missing persons reports.

Sometime during the night of June 2nd, 2020 a car was reportedly stolen from 50th avenue in Rimbey, keys had been left in the vehicle at the time of the theft. Luckily, the car was recovered in a back alley in Rimbey the next morning with no damage. Also that same night, a truck and trailer were stolen from 53rd avenue in Rimbey. The trailer was recovered a short time later in Ponoka RCMP Detachment area. The truck was later recovered by Breton RCMP with some damage. A canopy that was on the truck at the time of the theft has not yet been recovered.

Also on June 2, 2020 two vehicles were broken into during the night. A fishing camera, fishing equipment, tools, bicycle, and bicycle helmet were taken from one. The bicycle was later recovered and returned to the owner. Multiple welding tools/supplies were taken from the other vehicle and have not been recovered.
