Rimbey, Alberta - At approximately 4:55 pm on July 8, Rimbey RCMP were dispatched to a head on collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Highway 53.
A pick up truck and a motorcycle collided head on near the junction of Hwy. 53 with Range Road 21, east of the town of Rimbey. The male driver of the motorcycle died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The occupants of the pick up truck were not seriously injured.
An RCMP collision analyst is assisting Rimbey detachment with the investigation. Traffic on Highway 53 was expected to be impacted for several hours while the investigation took place.
