In the last week, Rimbey RCMP responded to 26 calls for service. These files include, but are not limited to: five suspicious activity reports, two assault investigations, three thefts, and two recovered stolen vehicles.

On April 6th, 2020, members were called to a single motor vehicle collision. The vehicle was witnessed speeding down a local township road, swerving to avoid a vehicle and subsequently hitting a snowbank and was then launched in the air before coming back down to rest on its wheels. The lone occupant was injured and airlifted to hospital, but is presently out of intensive care. The cause of the collision is unknown at this time and still under investigation.

Also on April 6th, 2020 an enclosed trailer was found abandoned on a driveway near range road 11A. Officers attended and recovered the trailer and its contents which had been stolen from Blackfalds Detachment area the previous day.
