The officers based out of the Rimbey RCMP detachment had a focus on the roads during the week of Jan. 19 to 26.
During that time, officers responded to 39 calls for service, with half of them being on the roads and highways of the region. Officers issued 10 traffic tickets during the week, while responding to four collisions involving animals, two with other vehicles, reports of two suspicious vehicles, and one impaired driver.
For criminal code matters, officers responded to four mischief complaints, three break-and-enter complaints, two possession of stolen property complaints, one uttering threats complaint, one sexually-related offence complaint, and one report of fraud.
In matters routine to policing, but which fall outside traffic or criminal-code, officers provided assistance to the general public once, responded to one mental health related call, and one sudden death.
