The Rimbey RCMP detachment has had their call volume slow down a bit during the last week of August.

Between Aug.24 and Aug.31, Rimbey RCMP officers responded to 49 calls for service, down from over 60 each of the preceding two weeks.

On the highways and roads, officers responded to two vehicle collisions, four collisions involving animals, issued three traffic tickets and responded to five calls for suspicious vehicles or people.

Off the roadways, officers responded to four animal calls, five complaints of assault, two complaints of mischief, one count of break-and-enter, three counts of theft and two complaints under the trespass act.

In non-criminal matters, the officers of the detachment provided general assistance to the public twice, dealt with three lost-and-found items, one mental health call and conducted one well being check.

To report an incident to the Rimbey RCMP detachment, call the 24 hour non-emergency complaint line at 403-843-2223. In emergencies, dial 911.
