Since January 2015 interim CAO Dona Tona has become a familiar face in Rimbey. As Lori Hillis, acting CAO an chief financial officer, officially stepped into the role Aug. 1 the Town of Rimbey terminated its contract with OMG Handiwerks Inc.
For Tona, her role as interim CAO consultant, management responsibilities, signing authorities and other CAO duties subsequently ceased July 30.
“I just want to add, for the record, the last 19 months have been awesome,” said Tona.
She added she is aware there is still work to be done, challenges to overcome and goals to meet but feels council and Town of Rimbey staff have a solid foundation beneath them and are capable of handling what the future brings.
