A Rimbey resident is now $100,000 richer after scratching the second place ticket in the Super Set for Life Zing lottery.

James Taylor picked up the $20 ticket in September from Gord’s Mini Mart, according to a news release.

After taking it home and scratching it, about half an hour later he was back in the store to verify his prize.

“I saw at the bottom that I matched three symbols, and I live close by so I went back to Gord’s,” said Taylor in the release.

The staff validated his ticket and confirmed his prize.

“I was excited but they were very excited – maybe more excited,” he said with a laugh.

Now that Taylor has collected his winnings, he has no immediate plans, though he says he might take a trip to visit family when it’s safe to do so.
