A red Honda Civic pulled out of Gull Lake last Sunday was not registered or insured.

Const. Carman Dutz said the vehicle had not been stolen, but RCMP had not received much co-operation in tracking down the present owner from the former owner.

“The matter is still under investigation,” he said.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Sunday, Ponoka County West Fire Department received a call that a vehicle was partially submerged in the lake.

The car was located on the east side of Gull Lake near Raymond Shores, west of Meridian Beach near the boat launch with only the roof showing.

The vehicle was towed out of the lake by Ed’s towing of Rimbey, assisted by trained firemen. It has since been towed and impounded.
