RCMP call volumes remained consistent between Jan. 6 – 12, with officers of the Rimbey detachment responding to 43 calls for service.
On the roads and highways surrounding the community, officers responded to seven collisions involving vehicles and wildlife, and four others with vehicle versus vehicle. Five traffic ticket issues were handed out, four suspicious vehicles were reported, and one complaint for failing to comply with impaired driving rules or Alberta’s mandatory roadside alcohol screening was reported.
For matters involving criminal code, detachment officers responded to three reports of mischief, a pair of assaults, a theft, and one report of possession of property obtained by crime. One report of fraud or extortion was reported as well.
Away from traffic and criminal code, officers responded to a pair of mental health calls, a pair of animal calls, and dealt with a lost and found item.
