Alan Forbes of Bentley, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Area Three on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the age of 76 years.
Alan was the biggest Toronto Maple Leafs enthusiast ~ and quite likely, the most dedicated fan of 'Leaf Nation' in all of Canada! He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son, Corey Forbes of Red Deer; his daughter, Tabitha (Dave) Miller of Bentley; as well as two cherished grandchildren: Nicole (Johnny), and Darien (Tanya); and three precious great grandchildren: Aiden, Makayla, and Porsha. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by three sisters: Bonnie (Sandy), Ruth (Art), and Joan (Conrad), all of Ontario; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two special friends, Patrick and John, of whom Alan greatly treasured for their camaraderie. Alan was predeceased by his parents; James and Inez; and three brothers: Danny, Donny, and Jimmy.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the nursing staff of Area Three for their compassionate and warm-hearted care. Your many kindnesses enabled Alan's home to be friendly and comfortable, and your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated.
With respect for Alan's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
