HANKINS
Albert Ronald "Bert" Hankins passed away at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre, Lacombe on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the age of 69 years, after a long battle with cancer.
Bert was born on September 23, 1942 to Erastus and Lily Hankins at Bentley, Alberta. He lived his entire life doing what he loved best ... farming.
"Bert will be greatly missed. Rest in peace."
Bert will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Hilda; four sisters: Elsie, Jean, Bonnie, and Janet; and two brothers: Richard and George; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Bert was predeceased by his father, Erastus; his mother, Lily; two sisters: Irene and Myrtle; and three brothers: James, Charles, and Robert.
A Memorial Tea in Bert's Honour was held at the Forshee Hall on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Bert's Memory may be made directly to the Lending Cupboard Society, 5406C - 43 Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 1C9.
