Allen Dale Calkins was born June 21,1937 and passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, at Rimbey Long Term Care. Born to Lawrence and Margaret Calkins, Dale received all his education in Rimbey.
In 1954 he joined the Air Force and spent 2 1/2 years in Comox and Sea Island B.C. Dale moved back to Alberta and spent most of his life in Rimbey. He married the mother of his children, Rose Kachuk in 1958 and they had 3 sons. Dale married Tillie Nikirk in 1974.
Dale is lovingly remembered by his wife, Tillie; sons, Mark, Earl and Hal; granddaughters Taylor and Samantha; Tillie's children, Dennis, Lyle and Nedean, and their children; sister, Neva Kowalzik; brother, Trevor; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and the mother of his children Rose.
He was predeceased by his father and mother, Lawrence and Margaret; and stepdaughter, Holly.
Dale enjoyed all sports, playing cards and pool, fishing and playing music with friends. Due to Covid 19 restrictions no service is planned at this time.
