Tony Szoke of Rocky Mountain House passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the age of 77 years. Tony will be lovingly remembered and sorrily missed by his wife Shirley; children Judy (Dennis), Steven (Lori), Lori, Karen (Rod), Gordon, Nicole (Garth) and daughter-in-law Stacey; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Helen; stepbrother Ed (Elizabeth); sisters-in-law Joan, Gwen, Daisy (Ted), Ethel; and brother-in-law Harry. He was predeceased by Scott in 1999. Tony was born and raised west of Bentley in the Sunset Hills. His passions were his family, friends and farming roots. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed working in the oilfield industry. We will fondly remember his sense of humor, hugs and zest for life. A Celebration of Tony Szoke's life will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, Rocky Mountain House on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made in Tony's name to Rocky Victim Services, STARS or the Charity of the donors choice.
