BROERE (TURNEY) Barbara May

After a short illness Barb suddenly and unexpected passed away. She is survived by her loving husband of almost twenty five years Johan Broere, her children; Derek (Shelly) Enns, Nicole Evans (Steve), Crystal Broere (Nathan) and John (Brittany) Broere, her parents Jim and Donna Turney, her brother Dexter (Debbie) Turney, her parents in law Koos and Corrie Broere, and her grandchildren Sierra and Kenzie Evans. Barb had many friends and family in different countries, from all walks of life.
Barb was born in the Ponoka General Hospital mere blocks away from her last residence. She was dedicated to the Montessori schooling and home schooled the children when it was needed. She touched many more young lives when she taught English Kindergarten in Guaymas, Mexico. She enthusiastically worked with and beside Johan in all endeavors, be it cheese making, farming or renovation projects and never hesitated to help out anyone who needed help. She gave many people the experience of a lifetime while whale watching in the Sea of Cortez on the sailing catamaran. Throughout her life her love for animals was obvious especially for her Cocker Spaniel, Sofia Grins.
Barb passed away peacefully with her husband, three of the children and her parents beside her in CIMA Hospital, Hermosillo, Mexico. Her loving, eager and energetic attitude will be sadly missed but live on forever in many.
